Thank you Chestermere!

Thank you for the trust you placed in me during the 2024 by-election. Since taking office, I've been working hard alongside our council team to deliver results for our community. Together, we've achieved significant wins, and there's more work ahead as we approach the 2025 general election.

Recent Achievements - Delivering for Chestermere

Since my election in 2024, our council has accomplished major wins for our community:

  • New schools have been approved and moving forward - addressing our most critical need
  • Critical infrastructure projects underway including Chestermere Boulevard and Rainbow Road North improvements
  • Recreational assets secured including the Golf Course, Recreation Center, and new Recreation Center lands for future generations
  • Enhanced lake protection through my role as Chair of the Lake and Watershed Committee
  • Business growth initiatives through my work on the Economic Development Committee
  • Volunteering  with the Agricultural Society, Chamber of Commerce, and Lakefront

VISION FOR CHESTERMERE: MY PRIORITIES

1. Further Strengthening Trust in City Hall - Being a Team Player

Since joining council, I've championed respectful discourse and collaborative decision-making that puts residents first. My professional experience working across diverse cultures and leading teams has proven invaluable in fostering the cooperative approach our community deserves. Through my commitment to transparency, accountability, and teamwork, we've restored confidence in City Hall and proven that when council works together, Chestermere wins. I remain dedicated to maintaining this collaborative spirit that gets results for our residents.

 2. Sustainable Growth & Enhanced Infrastructure

Building on our recent infrastructure wins, I remain committed to smart growth that enhances our quality of life while managing our rapid expansion responsibly. This includes continuing our push for more schools at all levels - elementary, junior/middle, and high school - to serve our growing families. I will keep school planning as a priority in all development proposals and maintain pressure until shovels are in the ground. Additionally, I support expanding our recreational infrastructure through projects like a Recreation Center expansion, maintaining our beloved golf course, and developing more parks, pathways, and recreational opportunities that make Chestermere a place families love to call home.

3. Supporting Local Businesses

As a member of the Economic Development Committee, I'm working to diversify our tax base and create opportunities for local entrepreneurs while attracting family doctors and essential services.

 4. Protecting Our Lake & Environment

As Chair of the Lake and Watershed Committee, I bring both heart and expertise to protecting the lake we all cherish, working closely with the Western Irrigation District and local volunteer groups.

 5. Safe, Family-Friendly Neighborhoods

Maintaining safe communities where families can thrive through fiscally conservative spending that supports essential services and family well-being programs, Not For Profit collaboration spaces, and great gathering spaces.

 6. Fiscal Responsibility

Continuing our approach of limiting unnecessary expenses while investing wisely in infrastructure and services our growing community needs.
